The Cleveland Browns placed safety T.J. Ward on injured reserve Thursday.
Ward appeared in eight games in 2011, all starts, and tallied 28 tackles and one sack.
The 25-year-old has been sidelined with a foot injury suffered in the Browns' 30-12 loss to the Houston Texans on November 6th.
Ward started all 16 games as a rookie in 2010, recording 95 tackles and two incterceptions.
To fill Ward's roster spot the Browns promoted wide receiver Rod Winsor from the practice squad.
