New Hampshire football will visit Minnesota and play five home games as part of its 2012 schedule.

The Wildcats will open the season on Thursday, Aug. 30 at Holy Cross before traveling to Minnesota on Sept. 8. UNH is 5-4 all-time against FBS opponents and 1-0 against the Big Ten, a 34-17 win against Northwestern in 2006.

Other road games include trips to CAA Football opponents Old Dominion (Sept. 22), Georgia State (Oct. 6), Maine (Oct. 20) and Rhode Island (Oct. 27).

New Hampshire will play its home opener on Sept. 15, hosting Northeast Conference foe Central Connecticut State. Other home games are within in the CAA against Delaware (Sept. 29), Richmond (Oct. 13), William & Mary (Nov. 3) and Towson (Nov. 17).
