Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray suffered a fractured ankle Sunday night against the Giants and appears to be done for the season.

Murray was hurt on a low tackle by Giants defensive end Dave Tollefson in the first quarter and remained on the ground for a few moments before limping off the field with help.

In addition to the fractured right ankle, he has a high ankle sprain.

Murray, a rookie, set a franchise record with 253 yards rushing in a Week 7 win over St. Louis and had started every game since for the Cowboys.

Felix Jones broke off a 26-yard run three plays after Murray came out of the game, setting up a touchdown, and rushed for 106 yards in Dallas' 37-34 loss to New York.
