The Milwaukee Brewers have signed free-agent year deal, according to ESPNChicago.com.
The deal will be worth anywhere from $34 million to $37 million, according to FoxSports baseball insider Ken Rosenthal.
The 33-year-old Ramirez batted .306 with 26 homers and 93 RBI in 149 games for the Cubs last season.
His beat year in Chicago was 2006, when he hit .291 with 38 home runs and 119 RBI.
Ramirez has hit .284 with 315 homers and 1,122 RBI over 1,683 career games with the Pirates and Cubs.
