Patrick Sharp netted two goals, including winning goal at the 1:34 mark of overtime, helping the Chicago 2 at Nassau Coliseum.

Marian Hossa collected the puck in the defensive zone and raced up the right wing. He fired a slap shot on net from the right circle that Al Montoya kicked out with his right pad, but Sharp was there on the doorstep to jam home the rebound.

Sharp also had an assist, while Hossa ended his night with a goal and two assists for the Blackhawks, who have won three of their last four contests.

Ray Emery turned aside 31 shots to earn his fifth victory of the season.

Travis Hamonic and Steve Staios scored for the Islanders, who have collected at least one point in six consecutive games. Montoya made 25 saves on 28 shots in defeat.
