Saul Alvarez maintained his WBC super welterweight belt on Saturday with a fifth round TKO of Kermit Cintron.

Alvarez (39-0-1) controlled the bout, even sending Cintron (33-5-1) to the canvas in the fourth round.

At 2:53 of the fifth, referee Hector Afu stopped the fight during another lopsided round.
