Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano said Chas Dodd will start at quarterback in Saturday's road game against Army, replacing Gary Nova.

Schiano announced his decision on Monday, two days after Dodd orchestrated a 12-play, 80-yard scoring drive in the final three minutes to tie South Florida in a game Rutgers won with a field goal in overtime.

The head coach said he believes he has two good quarterbacks in the program, but that Dodd "gives us the best chance to win on Saturday."

"Gary will be ready to go," said Schiano. "I fully believe (he) will prepare as if he's the starter and be ready to go. And if at any point we feel he gives us the best chance to win, he'll play. And that's how we do it here."

Dodd, a sophomore, replaced the freshman Nova during the South Florida game -- it's not the first time the quarterbacks were juggled this season. Nova had started five straight games for Rutgers after Dodd started the first four.
