New York, NY – Chicago Blackhawks forward Dan Carcillo has been suspended two games by the NHL for an illegal check on Carolina defenseman Joni Pitkanen.
During the first period of Friday's game in Raleigh, Carcillo delivered a hit from behind that sent Pitkanen crashing into the end boards.
Carcillo is in his first season with the Blackhawks.
