Trevor Daley scored in the eighth round of the 2 win over the Phoenix Coyotes.

Dallas nearly lost in regulation before Adam Burish scored the tying goal with 61 seconds showing in the third. Brenden Morrow sent a pass around the boards and hit Ray Whitney behind the net. Whitney somehow found Burish in front for the snap shot, silencing the home crowd.

Both teams had just two shots in overtime, and the first four shooters from each side failed to score in the shootout. Patrick O'Sullivan ended the drought, but Dallas' Michael Ryder extended things with a top shelf tally.

The goalies stepped up from there, and after Kari Lehtonen stopped Daymond Langkow, Daley beat Mike Smith with the game-winner.

Lehtonen made 33 saves in the win, which came three days after the club lost, 1-0, at Los Angeles.

Shane Doan and Raffi Torres scored for Phoenix, which got 34 saves from Smith.
