Arlington, TX – St. Louis Rams offensive tackle Jason Smith left Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys with an apparent head/neck injury.
Smith was hurt with 39 seconds left in the first quarter when he fell awkwardly to the turf while Cowboys safety Abram Elam attempted to recover a Cadillac Williams fumble.
He lay motionless on the field near the right sideline for several minutes, before medical staff from both teams tended to him.
Smith was eventually loaded onto a cart and taken for further evaluation.
