Natal, South Africa (Sports Network) - Darren Fichardt shot a under 68 on Saturday to win the Suncoast Classic by six strokes.
Fichardt recorded his 12th Sunshine Tour victory by finishing at 16-under 203 in 54 holes at Durban Country Club.
"I made it a little hard for myself in the beginning, but when it got closer I managed to get back into my gameplan, and I came through with a six-stroke victory, which is nice," Fichardt said.
Fichardt, who will participate in the final stage of European Tour Q-School in the upcoming weeks, was coming off an impressive seven-under 65 in Friday's second round.
Ulrich van den Berg (68) finished a distant second at seven-under 209, while Alex Haindl (67), Allan Versfeld (68) and Warren Abery (70) shared third at six-under.
Doug McGuigan (69) and Tjaart van der Walt (72) tied for sixth at minus-five.
