The Champions Tour announced on Wednesday that the Dick's Sporting Goods Open will be moved on the 2012 schedule.

This year's tournament, won by John Huston, was played in the last week of June, but next year, the championship will be contested August 17-19.

This change will be for next year only as major flooding from Tropical Storm Lee caused the Susquehanna River to overflow. The decision to push the event back will give En-Joie Golf Club more time to recover.

"The Endicott community shows tremendous support for the Champions Tour each year during Dick's Sporting Goods Open week," said Champions Tour President Mike Stevens. "We want to take every step possible to ensure we provide them a first-class event and give our players ideal playing conditions. This move for next year will allow us to do that."
