The Coyotes snapped a two-game losing streak to start the season (0-1-1) and spoiled the Predators' home opener by dealing them their first loss in three games.
Mikkel Boedker also scored for Phoenix while Jason LaBarbera had 23 saves in the win. Shane Doan got his third goal of the season on an empty-netter in the final minutes.
Ryan Suter and Colin Wilson scored for Nashville and Pekka Rinne allowed four goals on 30 shots.
