The daughter of Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter said Wednesday his brain tumors have continued to shrink.
The former Montreal Expos and New York Mets great received the results Wednesday from an MRI exam taken at Duke Cancer Institute and his daughter reported they are "10 percent smaller than the first MRI" and that "parts of the tumors are actually dying."
The tumors were discovered in May, when the 57-year-old was diagnosed with brain cancer and he has since been undergoing chemotherapy.
Carter's daughter, Kimmy Bloemers, said he will go to physical therapy three days a week and coach "every day" at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where he is the head coach.
