ESPN has decided to pull the classic song by Hank Williams Jr. introducing Monday Night Football for tonight's game between Indianapolis and Tampa Bay.

The reason Williams won't be saying "Are you ready for some football?" this evening is due to his comments he made on Monday morning's "Fox & Friends" show on Fox News. Williams said of President Barack Obama playing golf with House Speaker John Boehner: "It'd be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu."

The 62-year-old Williams also said Obama and Biden were "the enemy."

Williams based his 1984 hit "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight" as the intro for Monday Night Football. In 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1994, the opening MNF themes by Williams earned him four Emmy awards.

"While Hank Williams, Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to Monday Night Football," ESPN said in a statement. "We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight's telecast."
