Davie, FL – The Miami Dolphins have brought back cornerback opener.
Brady threw for 517 yards in the Patriots' 38-24 victory at Sun Life Stadium, including a 99-yard connection with Wes Welker that put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter. Sapp was beaten on the record-tying play.
Allen was among the team's final cuts earlier this month. He missed the entire 2010 campaign because of injury and played just six games in 2009 because of a torn ACL.
The 33-year-old Syracuse product had been a starter during each of his first nine NFL seasons, but will likely become the Dolphins' nickel back.
Allen has 15 interceptions in a career that began in 2001 as a first-round pick of the New York Giants. He spent five years with the Giants, then joined Miami for the 2006 season.
Sapp was in his second season with Miami after also playing for Minnesota and Kansas City. He had two interceptions in 16 games for the Dolphins last year.
