Evansville, IN – The Nationwide Tour announced the addition of the United Leasing Championship to be played at Victoria National Golf Club starting in 2012.
The event will debut the week of June 25 and will run for at least three years, the length of the agreement signed. It will feature 156 golfers over four rounds of stroke play with a purse of $550,000 and a pro-am on Wednesday, June 27.
"The PGA Tour is thrilled to be in Evansville today to make this new tournament announcement in conjunction with United Leasing, Victoria National Golf CLub and the Evansville Sports Corporation," said Nationwide Tour president Bill Calfee.
Victoria National Golf Club opened in 1998 and is a par-72, 7,239-yard layout designed by Tom Fazio. All four rounds will be televised on Golf Channel.
