The Jacksonville Jaguars acquired man limit.

The Jaguars sent an undisclosed conditional future draft pick for Lowery, a three-year veteran who's intercepted three passes in each of the past two seasons. The 25-year-old also had two sacks and 19 tackles while starting three of 14 games played for the Jets in 2010.

Running back Rashad Jennings, Jacksonville's second-leading rusher last season, was among the five players sent to IR. The third-year pro suffered a knee injury in the Jaguars' third preseason game, a 35-32 overtime loss at Buffalo on Aug. 27.

Jennings started Jacksonville's final three games in 2010 in place of an ailing Maurice Jones-Drew and finished the year with 459 rushing yards and four touchdowns while adding 26 receptions. The 26-year-old has averaged 5.5 yard per carry over his first two NFL seasons.

Also placed on IR were cornerback David Jones, defensive end Aaron Morgan, running back Richard Murphy and defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith. Return specialist Scotty McGee was waived/injured and will revert to IR if he clears waivers.

Smith, a third-round draft choice by Jacksonville in 2010, also missed his entire rookie campaign with a torn Achilles tendon. Jones started five times for the Jags last season and compiled 33 tackles and one interception in 16 games.

The Jaguars also waived safeties Don Carey and Matt Estrada, defensive ends Larry Hart and Odrick Ray, offensive tackles Tony Moll and Daniel Baldridge, wide receivers Armon Binns and Dontrelle Inman, linebackers Jacob Cutrera, Mike Lockley and Scott Lutrus, tight ends Tommy Gallarda, Joey Haynos and Kyle Miller, guard Wade Grayson, running backs Albert Young and DuJuan Harris, cornerbacks T.J. Heath, Jalil Johnson and Terrence Wheatley, defensive tackle Andrew Lewis and long snapper Jake Ingram.

Jacksonville also placed running back Fred Taylor, the franchise's all-time leading rusher, on the reserve/retired list as a ceremonial move. The 35-year- old, who put up seven 1,000-yard seasons in 11 years as a Jaguar, signed a one-day contract on Friday to retire as a member of the team.
