Eagles quarterback Vince Young suffered a right hamstring injury during Thursday night's game against the Jets.

Young was scrambling out to the right side when he pulled up and threw an incomplete pass in the final minutes of the second quarter. He was untouched on the play and limped off the field.

Trainers worked on Young's right leg near his knee as the quarterback lied face down on a padded table on the sideline. Moments later, Young got up and was walking under his own power on the sideline.

He appeared to reach down and grab the back of Michael Vick's right knee as if to show his teammate where he was hurt, and the Eagles later said it was a hamstring injury and he wouldn't return.

Young was 15-of-23 for 193 yards in the first half and threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Chad Hall in the first quarter.

He signed a one-year contract to play behind Vick, who sat out the final preseason game Thursday along with almost all of the Philadelphia starters.
