Whalen guides Lynx over Mystics

Minneapolis, MN – Lindsay Whalen poured in 21 points on 10- 12 shooting to guide Minnesota to a 73-56 rout of the Washington Mystics.

Jessica Adair added 10 points for the Lynx, who have won six in a row and already have secured the top seed for the Western Conference playoffs.

Crystal Langhorne had 13 points and Matee Ajavon 10 for Washington, which shot 35.6 percent and lost its ninth in a row.

Ahead 36-33, at the half, the Lynx limited the Mystics to six points in the third quarter. Adair's jumper represented the final points of the period, moving the hosts to a 53-39 lead going to the fourth.
