Insurance provider MetLife has signed an agreement to buy the naming rights to New Meadowlands Stadium, the New York Post reported.

The paper cited unnamed sources in reporting the agreement, which the Post said could be announced as early as next week. The report said the venue, home to the NFL's Giants and Jets, will be called MetLife Stadium.

MetLife had already signed an agreement to become a "cornerstone partner" in 2008, prior to the stadium's 2010 opening. That deal gave the company exclusive rights to brand one of the four entrances to the stadium, as well as one of the four primary scoreboards.
