NHL Network is going to raise the Cup all summer long.

Every day at noon, we'll roll out another Cup clincher to stave off your hockey hunger. Watch your heroes of yesterday win it all ... again.

Fans can tune in at 12 p.m. ET every weekday for a different game -- and different champion. A complete program schedule can be found on NHLNetwork.com (U.S.).

After having swept the Canucks in 1982 for a dynastic third Stanley Cup championship, the Islanders entered the 1983 Stanley Cup Final against the high-flying Edmonton Oilers, a team filled with youth, talent and led by young superstar Wayne Gretzky.

Edmonton scored 424 regular-season goals and lost only one game in its previous three opening round series combined against Winnipeg, Calgary and Chicago.  However, the Oilers suddenly found themselves down 0-3 in their first-ever Final thanks large in part to the heroics of Islanders goaltender Billy Smith.  Thanks to Smith's impenetrable performances in Games 1 through 3, where the Isles outscored the Oilers a combined 13-4, New York could embrace Game 4 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum with a sweep in mind.

The experienced Islanders delivered, as goals from Bryan Trottier, John Tonelli and Mike Bossy built a 3-0 lead.  Edmonton made a closer game of it with second period responses from Jari Kurri and Mark Messier, but Smith closed the door the rest of the way en route to a Conn Smythe Trophy-winning performance. The 4-2 victory gave the Islanders a fourth consecutive championship, the last such North American pro sports team to accomplish such a feat.
