TAMPA, Fla. - Boston Bruins centre Patrice Bergeron is getting close to returning from a concussion.

The team is re-evaluating Bergeron's status for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals against Tampa Bay on Thursday night.

Bergeron took part in Thursday's pregame skate and coach Claude Julien said the alternate captain is "feeling pretty good." Bergeron has been sidelined since getting injured in the finale of the second-round series against Philadelphia when he was hit by Claude Giroux.

Bergeron had two goals and 10 assists in 11 playoff games this season before getting hurt.

Also, Lightning coach Guy Boucher said defenceman Pavel Kubina will not play in Game 3. Kubina, out since the first game of the conference semifinals against Washington, when his head went into the glass on a hit, has not resumed practicing.
