ST. LOUIS – The PGA has selected Bellerive Country Club of St. Louis to serve as the site of the 2013 Senior PGA Championship and the 2018 PGA Championship.
The announcement by the PGA on Friday means Bellerive will become the third venue to host all four of the nation's rotating major championships, along with the U.S. Open and the U.S. Senior Open.
"Bellerive Country Club is one of the country's premier championship venues that blends experience in staging a major championship, rich tradition, a spectacular golf course and a wonderful region of knowledgeable sports fans," PGA of America President Allen Wronowski said.
Bellerive currently has a par-71, 7,547-yard layout.
The club hosted the 1965 U.S. Open, won by Gary Player, and Nick Price captured his first major by winning the PGA Championship at Bellerive in 1992. The club hosted the U.S. Senior Open in 2004, when Peter Jacobsen won his first senior major by besting a field that included local favorites Hale Irwin and Jay Haas.
Three years ago, Bellerive hosted the BMW Championship, in which Camilo Villegas had his first career tour victory.
