South Carolina keeps winning — and keeps losing pivotal players to injury.

The Gamecocks rose to No. 1 in the Collegiate Baseball rankings and remained tied for the top of the Southeastern Conference after a three-game sweep of Auburn last weekend. And they accomplished it without injured star Jackie Bradley Jr., one of several South Carolina outfielders who have missed time.

Bradley had surgery on his left wrist last Friday for a damaged tendon. He was told by doctors it could take up to eight weeks to heal. Outfielder Adam Matthews has been sidelined with a hamstring problem since mid-April. Another outfielder, Evan Marzilli, recently underwent a procedure to temper a rapid heartbeat.

Still, the Gamecocks (35-8) have won six straight games.
