Jake Peavy felt good over four innings of work against his former team Monday, but the Chicago White Sox fell to the San Diego Padres 7-6.

Peavy threw 67 pitches, 47 for strikes, in his third start of the spring. He allowed three runs on six hits, struck out two and walked a batter.

Aaron Harang started for San Diego, allowing two runs over four innings. One run was unearned. He had allowed seven runs over five innings in his last two Cactus League starts.

Mike Baxter and Chris Denorfia hit home runs for the Padres.

Lastings Milledge, A.J. Pierzynski and Alexei Ramirez all went deep for the White Sox.
