Lenny Daniel scored a game-high 19 points to lead Cal State Northridge to a 75-54 victory over Cal State Fullerton in the quarterfinals of the Big West tournament on Thursday night.

Daniel was one of three Northridge (14-17) players to score in double figures as Vinnie McGhee had 16 and Michael Lizarraga 10.

Northridge, the No. 3 seed, advances to play No. 5 seed UC Santa Barbara in Friday's semifinals.

Unlike a two-point win over the Titans in their last meeting this season, the Matadors robbed this game of any potential drama. Northridge jumped out to a 14-2 lead and pulled away to the win.

Fullerton (11-20), the sixth seed, struggled offensively, shooting just 33.9 percent (19 for 56) from the field. The Titans also connected on just 44 percent (12 of 27) of their free-throw attempts.

Orane Chin led the Titans with 15 points, and Jer'Vaughn Johnson added 11.

Andre Hardy, who averages just over 11 points per game, finished with just two points and fouled out with 12:52 remaining for Fullerton.
