WILMINGTON, Mass. -- Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara spoke briefly with reporters after the Black & Gold's practice at Ristuccia Memorial Arena.

"We had the hearing this morning, I haven't heard back," said the defenseman when asked about the hearing regarding his hit on Montreal's Max Pacioretty in the second period of yesterday's 4-1 Bruins loss to the Canadiens.

Asked about the play, Chara said, "It's just one of those things…like glass extensions, doors, even hockey nets are part of the game and obviously players run into them.

"It's just very, very unfortunate that a player got hurt."
