Frank Lampard scored twice in a four-minute span, John Terry had a goal and Chelsea won 3-1 at Blackpool on Monday night to rejuvenate its faint hopes of retaining the Premier League title.

Terry scored on a 20th-minute header and Lampard converted a penalty kick in the 63rd after Salomon Kalou was fouled by Ian Evatt. Lampard then scored on Kalou's through ball in the 66th. Jason Puncheon scored Blackpool's goal in thr 86th.

Fernando Torres remained without a goal in five games since Chelsea bought him from Liverpool for about $80 million.

Chelsea (15-7-6) has 51 points, nine behind first-place Manchester United (17-9-3). The Blues are fourth and three points ahead of Tottenham (13-6-9) for the final Champions League berth.

Blackpool (9-15-5) is 15th with 32 points, two points above the relegation zone.

LA CORUNA, Spain (AP) — Deportivo La Coruna beat Real Sociedad 2-1 on goals by Ivan "Riki" Sanchez-Rico in the 41st and Adrian Lopez in the 57th.
