Jesus Guzman hit a three-run homer with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, lifting the San Diego Padres to a 6-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Justin Upton had two hits, including his first home run of the spring, for the Diamondbacks. His two-run homer off Padres reliever Greg Burke in the top of the fourth inning gave Arizona a 3-2 lead.

Diamondbacks starter Daniel Hudson allowed just an unearned run in two innings despite allowing four hits and walking two batters.

Dustin Moseley also gave up an unearned run in two innings for San Diego.

The Padres were without bench coach Rick Renteria, who went to the hospital in the morning for further evaluation after he was struck in the mouth with a line drive during batting practice.
