Real Salt Lake and Columbus drew 0-0 Tuesday in the first leg of the two-game, aggregate-goal CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal.

The match drew about a thousand fans to Crew Stadium in 25 degree weather.

Columbus had four shots on goal and RSL didn't have any. But poor finishing ruined the Crew's chances.

The Crew ended the match with 10 players and RSL nine after Columbus forward Emilio Renteria and Real Salt Lake defender Nat Borchers exchanged elbows in the 72nd minute.

Those ejections followed the second yellow to Tony Beltran on the 53rd minute.

The two teams will meet in the return leg March 1 at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah.
