Amin Stevens scored 12 points in the first half and Chris Watson scored 12 in the second to lead Florida A&M over Delaware State 69-63 on Monday night.

After holding the Hornets to 1 of 10 from 3-point range in the first half, the Rattlers (11-14, 6-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) led 29-25 at halftime and by as much as 58-44 with 8:03 left to play.

Delaware State, which held Stevens to just two of his 16 points in the second half, pulled within three, 66-63, with 1:49 remaining.

Chris Watson's free throw put the Rattlers ahead by four with 1:34 to play. Yannick Crowder then had one of his four blocks and Jeremy Dean grabbed an offensive rebound with 1:08 left followed by a dunk 6 seconds later for the final margin.

Florida A&M outrebounded the Hornets 44-22 and outscored them 32-18 in the paint.

Jay Threatt led the Hornets (9-15, 5-7) with 22 points.
