Chris Duncan scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Alabama State over Alabama A&M 82-68 on Saturday night.

The Hornets (9-16, 6-6 Southwestern Athletic Conference) trailed only once and led by as many as 15, 82-67, with less than a minute remaining.

Tramayne Moorer added 12 points and Kenderek Washington and Tramaine Butler each added 11 for Alabama State, which shot 51.9 percent from the floor (28 of 54).

The Bulldogs (10-11, 7-5) finished 20 for 62 from the field (32.3 percent), including 3 of 18 from 3-point range (16.7 percent).

DeMarquelle Tabb scored 15 points, Casey Cantey added 12 and Bo Amusa 11 for Alabama A&M, which was outrebounded 53-32 and failed to complete the season sweep over the Hornets.

The Bulldogs, who have won three in a row, defeated Alabama State 75-60 on Jan. 15.
