Nick Barbour scored 19 points off the bench and High Point defeated North Carolina Central 82-74 on Monday night.

The Panthers (10-13) held North Carolina Central to just 9-of-25 shooting in the first half, while going 4 of 10 from 3-point range to lead 38-23 at halftime.

The Eagles (11-11) led 6-3 early before High Point went on an 18-1 run. Shay Shine's free throws put the Panthers, who would lead by as many as 19 in the first half, up 21-7 with 9:38 to go until halfitme.

North Carolina Central improved in the second half, shooting 53.3 percent (16 of 30), but the Panthers kept up, making 12 of 24 shots after intermission for their fourth straight win.

Shine finished with 18 points and Jairus Simms added 10 for High Point, which improved to 5-0 against the Eagles.

Landon Clement and C.J. Wilkerson scored 24 points each for North Carolina Central.
