Robby Ptacek scored 25 points and Central Connecticut State defeated Wagner 75-71 on Saturday.

The Blue Devils (14-7, 7-3 Northeast Conference) held Wagner (10-11, 6-4) to 37-percent shooting in the first half (10 of 27) to lead 44-27 at halftime.

The Seahawks then got 19 of Tyler Murray's 20 points in the second half to outscore Central Connecticut State 44-31 in the final 20 minutes.

The Blue Devils led 74-67 with 14 seconds left before Wagner scored four of the next five points with the final margin coming on Josh Thompson's layup with 1 second left.

Central Connecticut State shot 46.9 percent form the field in the first half (15 of 32) and then went 18 of 21 from the free-throw line in the second (85.7 percent). Ptacek made all 10 of his free throws in the second half.

Orlando Parker had a double-double for Wagner with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
