Anatoly Bose scored 22 points — his 40th career game with 20 or more — to lead Nicholls State over Southeastern Louisiana 66-52 on Saturday.

Fred Hunter added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Colonels (9-7, 3-2 Southland Conference), who won for the eighth time at home this season and 11th straight home win since last losing there Feb. 10.

Both teams were scoreless for the first 3:31 before Nicholls State outscored the Lions 13-5, capped by Hunter's 3-pointer with 12:18 left in the first half.

Nicholls State, which led 34-22 at halftime, opened up the second half by scoring the first seven points as part of a 14-2 run. Bose's 3-pointer capped the spurt and gave the Colonels their biggest lead of the game, 46-24, with 17:47 to play.

Brandon Fortenberry scored 10 points to lead Southeastern Louisiana (8-7, 2-1), which shot 39 percent from the field (21 of 54).
