Saint Louis University coach Rick Majerus returned to the sideline after missing three games while recovering from a leg infection.

He was back Saturday as the Billikens (6-11) snapped a six-game losing streak with a 67-51 victory over St. Joseph's (5-12).

"I feel OK," Majerus said. "I feel good."

The 62-year-old Majerus was injured in the second half of a loss to Bowling Green on Jan. 1 when he collided with two players and gashed his leg against the scorer's table. After Saint Louis blew a lead in that game, players said they had been worried.

"I think they were real concerned, and I was more concerned than they were," Majerus said. "I think it took them a while. They weathered a tough stretch."

Players said having Majerus back made things more comfortable.

"He knows so much," guard Kyle Cassity said. "It's a lift for us."

Associate head coach Porter Moser filled in while Majerus recuperated, and Majerus said he wasn't much involved in practice the past few days.

"I just showed up," Majerus said. "I did nothing, those guys did it all."
