Ken Horton scored 27 points and Robby Ptacek added 25 to lead Central Connecticut State over Sacred Heart 88-75 on Thursday night.

The Blue Devils (10-6, 3-2 Northeast Conference) scored 23 points off 20 turnovers, 46 points in the paint and limited the Pioneers' 3-point shooting in the second half. Sacred Heart (7-9, 2-3) was 8 of 12 from behind the arc in the first half and led 40-34 at the break. Central Connecticut State then held Sacred Heart to just 14.3 percent 3-point shooting (1 of 7) in the second half.

The Blue Devils shot 50.8 percent from the field (32 of 63).

Chris Baskerville added 13 points and Shemik Thompson 10 for Central Connecticut State.

The Pioneers were led by Shane Gibson, who was 5 of 10 from 3-point range for 27 points. Jerrell Thompson chipped in 15 points for Sacred Heart, which had a three-game winning streak snapped.
