Brandon James and Nick Pascale each had double-doubles to lead Colgate to its first win of the season, 80-61 win over Longwood on Sunday.

James had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Pascale had 13 points and 15 rebounds as the Raiders (1-11) avoided matching their worst start ever. Colgate fell to 0-10 for the first time since 1987-88 and were two losses from their worst start, 0-13 in 1986-87.

The Raiders held Longwood (5-12) to 5-of-25 shooting in the first half (20 percent) and led 44-21 at halftime.

Colgate finished shooting 51.7 percent from the field (30 of 58) and outrebounded the Raiders 53-21.

Pat Moore chipped in 12 points and Yaw Gyawu had 10 for Colgate.

Longwood was led by 16 points from Antwan Carter, who surpassed the 1,000 career point mark. The junior now has 1,009 points. Martiz Washington and Jeremiah Bowman added 12 points each for the Lancers.
