Surgery for Giants' Freddy Sanchez

Freddy Sánchez, who helped the San Francisco Giants win the city's first World Series, needs surgery on his left shoulder.

It is the second time the second-baseman is having work done to his non-throwing shoulder.

He will need about eight weeks of recovery time, but should be ready for the start of the season.
