TORONTO (Reuters) - The Toronto Blue Jays have re-signed injured pitcher Dustin McGowan on a one-year deal worth $450,000, the club announced on Thursday.

The 28-year-old right-hander has undergone three operations in the past three seasons and has not pitched since having shoulder surgery in June but is on the recovery trail.

The Blue Jays said he has begun a throwing program but no timetable has been set for his return.

The former first-round draft pick has a 20-22 career record in three seasons with Toronto.
