James Rosseau rushed for two touchdowns and Delaware State beat N.C. Central 29-7 on Saturday.

The Hornets (2-7, 1-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) took a 7-0 lead on a 1-yard touchdown run by Anthony Glaud in the first quarter.

The Eagles (3-6) answered with a 14-yard touchdown pass from Michael Johnson to Geovonie Irvine to tie the score at 7-7.

Rosseau, who finished with 86 yards rushing, scored on a 1-yard run early in the second to give Delaware State a 13-7 lead after a missed extra point. Mario Diaz-Aviles kicked a 32-yard field goal with 28 seconds left before halftime to give the Hornets a 16-7 lead.

The Hornets increased their lead to 23-7 after a 2-yard touchdown pass from Glaud to Darius Jackson in the third quarter and Rosseau added his second 1-yard touchdown run later in the third to end the scoring for both teams.
