DETROIT (Reuters) - Detroit Red Wings defenseman Brian Rafalski will be out of the team's lineup indefinitely after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, the National Hockey League's website said Tuesday.

The 37-year-old Rafalski, a two-time All-Star who had two points in the team's first two games, underwent the surgery earlier Tuesday to repair a knee he originally injured when he was 18, the site said (www.nhl.com).

Red Wings general manager Ken Holland told local reporters Rafalski could be out three to four weeks.
