Nine-time Pro Bowl cornerback Champ Bailey says he's wondering about his future in Denver after the Broncos unexpectedly cut off contract talks with his agent this week.

Bailey and his agent, Jack Reale, were closing to hashing out a four-year extension that would have kept the star defensive back in Denver through 2014 when the Broncos decided to break off negotiations until season's end.

The 32-year-old Bailey is in the final season of a seven-year deal and can become an unrestricted free agent after this season. He said the Broncos' decision to postpone talks on a deal makes him wonder if he'll soon be playing somewhere else.

Coach Josh McDaniels said Friday that he wants Bailey to stay in Denver.
