The Green Bay Packers are extending the contract of wide receiver Donald Driver, the team's longest-tenured current player.

The Packers made the announcement Friday after the team's afternoon practice. Driver said the extension is for two years, through the 2012 season. Financial terms weren't immediately available.

"I can't complain," Driver said. "Now, I'm a Green Bay Packer for life."

Driver, 35, who has played his entire NFL career with the Packers since they selected him in the seventh round in the 1999 draft, had been signed through this season.
