Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Devon James filed a paternity action Thursday against the golf star, claiming he is the father of her 9-year-old son, TMZ reported.

James filed legal papers Thursday afternoon in Florida under her legal name, Melinda Jannette, asking a judge to determine the paternity of her son Austin Brinling.

James' mother, who has custody of Austin, claims a DNA test in 2002 showed another man was the father.

However, James does not believe her mother has DNA evidence and wants a judge to force Woods to submit to DNA testing.

According to legal documents, James wants to "establish paternity, parental responsibility, time-sharing, and/or child support of a minor child or children."

She would also like Woods to become a part of her son's life.

James is one of more than a dozen women who claim they had affairs with Woods, 34.

Woods became estranged from his wife Elin Nordegren -- the mother of his daughter Sam, 2, and son Charlie, 1 -- after it emerged last November that he cheated on her with a string of women.

Swedish former model Nordegren, 30, recently returned to the U.S. after a trip with the couple's children to China, where she was visiting her brother sans Woods, RadarOnline reported.

She was considering traveling to California on Friday to let Woods see Sam on her third birthday.
