Add New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant to the list of unrestricted free agents this offseason.

The Saints have decided to release the eight-year veteran, along with reserve offensive lineman Jamar Nesbit and linebacker Mark Simoneau, who has missed the past two seasons with injuries.

Grant, who was drafted by the Saints in the first round in 2002, was not on New Orleans' postseason roster when the team won the Super Bowl this past season. The Saints placed Grant on injured reserve with a torn triceps following the end of the regular season. Grant missed the final eight games of the 2008 season with a similar injury.

In 118 career games, Grant has 47 sacks and 431 tackles.
