Republican nominee Donald Trump spent the third night of the Democratic National Convention Wednesday taking questions on the website Reddit, revealing which presidents he most admires and appealing to Bernie Sanders voters to back him in November.

Reddit, a website that bills itself as the "front page of the internet" has hosted several all-encompassing question-and-answer sessions, known as "Ask Me Anything" or "AMAs" with well-known figures, including politicians like President Obama.

Trump's campaign posted a picture on Facebook of the candidate answering questions while flying to a campaign rally in Toledo, Ohio.

The AMA, hosted on Reddit's "The Donald" subforum of Trump supporters, was heavily moderated. Before Trump arrived, an administrator wrote,  "we have temporarily taken extra security measures to keep our community free from troublemakers. We built the wall 10 ft taller, you might say," a reference to Trump's famous pledge to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

In all, Trump answered 12 questions, most of them political in tone. His answers included an appeal to supporters of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who Trump wrote had "given up on his revolution" by endorsing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Trump also repeatedly referred to his opponent as "Crooked Hillary Clinton" and repeated his criticism of her for not holding press conferences. He also said he admired four presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan.

Questions on marijuana legalization, nuclear power and whether Trump owns a pair of slippers, among other issues, were left unanswered.
