Between Ted Cruz's win in the Iowa Caucus on Monday evening and Thursday morning, the firebrand Texas senator's campaign raked in $3 million in campaign contributions.
"$10M from 182,000 contributions averaging $55 has been raised since January 1 thru last night. $3M since 10 p.m. on February 1! Thank you!" the candidate's campaign manager Jeff Roe tweeted out on Thursday morning.
Cruz was enjoying a big fundraising advantage over his Republican rivals even before the new numbers were released.
His campaign closed the year with almost $18.7 million in the bank. That was roughly as much as Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, John Kasich and Chris Christie combined.
The latest haul has allowed him to continue to tout his fundraising capabilities when on the stump. He is also using his fundraising to bump up his conservative credos and his shot at winning the Republican nomination.
"The conservative is supposed to be broke, and instead we've got the resources to compete nationally, combined with a grassroots army from the ground," Cruz said, according to the Washington Post.
Cruz is riding high following his win in Iowa, even as second place finisher Donald Trump bemoans the results and has called for a reelection amid claims that Cruz "stole" the caucus.
"Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he stole it," Trump tweeted, and his campaign accused Cruz of dirty tricks in telling Ben Carson's supporters their man was dropping out and they should turn to the Texan.
Cruz shot back, declaring that his two young daughters were better behaved than Trump.
"I don't know anyone who would be comfortable with someone who behaves this way having his finger on the button. We're liable to wake up one morning and Donald, if he were president, would have nuked Denmark."
Cruz also talked immigration, environment and foreign policy, keeping to the high-octane rhetoric that has made some establishment Republicans recoil.
"We're going to light all their stuff on fire,'" Cruz told a group in Henniker, expanding on his promise to carpet bomb the Islamic State group "into oblivion."
