Days after GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump said he would bar Muslim immigrants from entering the U.S., the business mogul's name disappeared from giant billboards in Dubai that had celebrated his company's partnership with a local property group to create a luxurious residential development.

On Thursday, sources reported Trump's name, previously plastered all over billboards advertising the luxury properties, had been removed overnight and replaced with blank spaces.

The $6 billion project, named Akoya, was launched by Damac Properties and the Trump Organization a year and a half ago. Trump's recent statements regarding Islam, however, appear to have offended his United Arab Emirates business partner.
